Session’s Summer camps are a bunch of fun and opportunity for young people to learn the skills necessary to climb safely, the technique to climb efficiently, and to gain confidence in themselves in a social and collaborative environment. It’s time to get ready for SCHOOL BREAKS!

Session’s fall Monkey Camps (6-10yrs.) and Sender Camps (11-16yrs.) are a bunch of fun and a great opportunity for children with no climbing experience to begin learning the skills necessary to climb safely, the technique used to climb efficiently, and to gain confidence in themselves in a social and collaborative environment. It’s a great way to spend time off from school and an experience they’ll remember and benefit from for years to come!

Dates and Time:
November 20th – November 22nd
8:30am – 11:30am

Cost:
EARLY BIRD (Ends October 15th) $200 for Members; $225 for non-members
Starting October 16th: $225 for Members; $250 for non-members

A cancellation fee of $75 is charged for all cancellations made on or before November 1st. Reservations are non-refundable after November 1st.

Please note: Under-enrolled camps are cancelled 7 days prior to their start date. Early drop-off and late pick-up are not available. We do not have staff to supervise before or after camp hours. Please provide a lunch and water bottle. On the days we meet in the gym, snacks and food are available for purchase.

MONKEY ACADEMY & SESSION SENDERS

This 8-week introductory course is designed to teach kids the fundamentals of climbing: technique, problem-solving skills, basic knot tying & more!

Schedule: This 8-week program meets once a week for 2 hours. Please view the booking page for times and availability.

Week 2: Rope Climbing continued
Week 3: Bouldering
Week 4: Footwork
Week 5: Balance
Week 6: Climbing Vocabulary
Week 7: Review
Week 8: Graduation!

Family Benefits: Climbers receive a full access membership for the duration of the program. Parents may take our Intro to Climbing Class* for FREE.

Climbing Teams

The purpose of these teams is to help climbers develop a love for the sport while teaching the basic techniques necessary to become well-rounded climbers. Climb with fellow young climbers in a social, relaxed environment!

Session’s Competition Team provides athletes with access to the resources they need to perform at their best. Session’s coaches work closely with athletes to provide the training programs and mentorships they need to thrive as strive for the podium at the US Youth Nationals.

Season Structure

Early season practice is focused on preparing the athletes physically for the competition season. High volume, low intensity training slowly transitioning to low volume, high intensity training. Conditioning is the priority in this early training phase, develop the foundational skills necessary for each athlete to perform physically at the highest level. Athletes will be run through climbing specific drills they need to become well-rounded climbers and conditioning exercises to improve overall fitness.

One month prior to the first Qualifying Event, athletes transition to competition strategy preparation. In this phase, team practice continues to emphasize physical training but time is also allocated to focus on Championship event formats, strategy, and insight into the style of climbing at that level of competition.

As the Regional Championship nears, athletes are run through mock competitions and training camps to prepare them for the stress and rigors of onsight climbing competitions. Athletes are educated on the specific rules outlined in the USA Climbing official rulebook and how to navigate the field of play.

Visit Session with your scouting groups and open new avenues of exploration!

Climbing requires a combination of tenacity and practice in pursuit of mastery, and Session offers a Scout- specific weekend climbing program that teaches courage, confidence, and character. Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, Venturers, American Heritage Girls, and Trail Life USA Troops can all enjoy the satisfaction of hard-earned success as they build their character and grow as both a group and as individuals.

Reserve harnesses and belayers for a two-hour block of climbing on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

Take over our terrain from 10pm to 7am! At lock-ins, groups enjoy a night jam-packed with fun games, group activities, movies, and climbing. We’ll provide overnight staff to answer any questions and help with any requests or needs. At least two weeks’ notice is required for this popular Friday and Saturday night program.
