Yoga Workshop
Yoga with Friends
Join us for a unique partner-style yoga workshop centered on hands-on assists and deepening into postures with the support of a friend! Led by Session Yoga Sub Alisse Galde, this fun and collaborative session is open to all–bring a buddy or come solo and make new connections as you explore yoga in a fresh way. We’ll start with a vinyasa-style warmup, then flow into at least five supported postures where you’ll learn how to help each other feel into the poses.

Fundraiser Event Celebrates Kirk Keeler‘s Inspiring Journey and Supports Documentary Production
The Arlene Francis Center is honored to host a special fundraiser on Saturday, December 14th, 2024, at 5 PM in support of Half Life, a powerful documentary by Kaare Iverson (a Session Member!) chronicling the extraordinary journey of Kirk Keeler. Diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer, Kirk accomplished an awe-inspiring feat by climbing the iconic Half Dome in Yosemite National Park, with Session Founder Kevin Jorgeson, while undergoing intense cancer treatments.
The event will help raise $10,000 to fund the soundtrack for Half Life, ensuring Kirk‘s story reaches audiences worldwide and promotes the importance of cancer screening.
An Evening of Music, Art, and Film
The fundraiser at the Arlene Francis Center will feature:- Live Music: Performances by Sol Horizon and Gill Brothers Band, hosted and recorded by KPFA.
- Photography Gallery: Showcasing Kirk Keeler’s stunning photography.
- Film Screening: A pre-screening of Half Life, submitted to the Wild and Scenic Film Festival, with festival results announced on December 12th.
- Raffle and Silent Auction: Exciting prizes to support the cause.
The event will bring together nonprofits and cancer awareness advocates like Cancer Champions, offering resources and education about the critical importance of early cancer detection.

Monthly Climbing Clubs at Session!
Session offers a variety of monthly climbing club meetings! This is free for members and only $15 for non-members with rentals included!
Queer Climbing Club (QCC), formed by Alicia L (she/they) is every second Tuesday and fourth Thursday of the month from 6 – 8 pm
Women’s Lead Club (WLC), formed by Alé R is every third Friday of the month from 5 – 7 pm. Join the WhatsApp group chat for extra meet ups!
